Sunday Morning Services

 

The two Parish services are 9:00 am at St. George's and 10:30 am at St. Cuthbert's. All ages are welcome to the traditional style morning worship, including Holy Communion. These are the details for the week ahead:

Midweek Services

 

During the week all ages are welcome to a shorter service with Holy Communion on Wednesday mornings (10:00 am) at St. Cuthbert's and Thursday mornings (9:30 am) at St. George's. These are the details for the week ahead:

This is the normal pattern for Sunday morning and Midweek services in the parish. However throughout the year there will be additional services for baptism, marriages, confirmation and funerals and also special church services held in accordance with the Church Calendar.

 

The Mass (Holy Communion or the Eucharist) is our main service celebrated on Sundays at 10.30am. See the News Sheet for other weekday services.

 

Baptism (or Christening) marks the beginning of a new journey in faith. Baptism takes place regularly during the year.

Prayer is at the heart of worship and Daily Prayer happens each day throughout the Church.

The Chantry Book (Book of Remembrance)

Thanks to a donor’s generosity, we have a Chantry Book (or Book of Remembrance) in which people are remembered on the anniversary of their death. The Book is for people in Castle Vale to remember their loved ones and for people with a connection to the Vale to be commemorated. Anyone can apply for an entry to be made but the person remembered must have a connection with the Vale (for example, they lived or worked here or their funeral was conducted by one of St Cuthbert’s clergy). There are more details on the order form which is available on request from the church.
