22 November 2024: Vocal harmony at St George's
A special concert was held at S. George's, with performance by vocal harmony group, Spectrum.
On a wonderful evening all proceeds went towards much needed funding for roof repairs at the church.
It was a fantastic effort from Church Warden Gill, Keith and friends. They raised over £600 from the event.

It is with deep sadness that we heard of the death our sister Marlene, mother
of Heather Callender.
Her Funeral will take place at S. Cuthbert's Church on Friday November 29th at 11:30 am.
Followed by burial at Sutton Newhall Cemetry.

It is with deep sadness that we heard of the death our dear brother Sid.
His Funeral will take place at S. Cuthbert's Church on Thursday April 18th at 11 am.
Followed by burial at St Nicholas Church, Curdworth.

Bridlington Sunrise on New Year’s Day. [Retirement Day 1]
"Greetings from among the packing boxes on the Costa del Bridlington. We seem to be getting there with the unpacking, just finding where to put the unpacking, however our new found leisure means we are getting to go and look at the sea each day. We are both most grateful for our seventeen and a bit years with you in Castle Vale and Minworth and for the many very generous gifts and kind wishes which marked our retirement. With every assurance of our continuing prayers".

Farewell to Father James, one last time
Fr. James retired from
ministry on December 27th, after serving 17 and a half years as our incumbent Parish Priest.
We send our thanks to Father J and Phaea for their spiritual leadership, their dedication and their friendship.
Best wishes to you both for many happy years ahead. You will be missed by all but forever loved.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our dear brother
Eric. After a long illness Eric died peacefully and at home, early on Wednesday 6th September.

Eric’s body will be brought into Church for Vespers at 4 pm on Tuesday 11th October to rest in Church overnight before a Requiem Mass at 11 am the next day, followed by
Cremation at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium.
