S. Cuthbert of Lindisfarne, Castle Vale

Week beginning Sunday, 26 November 2023

Prayer for the Day

Eternal Father,
whose Son Jesus Christ ascended to the throne of heaven
that he might rule over all things as Lord and King:
keep the Church in the unity of the Spirit
and in the bond of peace,
and bring the whole created order to worship at his feet;
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Christ the King

Our Work of Prayer

Our prayers during times of crisis such as the recent pandemic, together and as individuals, is particularly important. Please Pray for those in our Parish and around the world, whose lives and livelihoods are at risk. Keep in your prayers our NHS staff, health care, care workers and key workers who are working so hard and whose work can put them in harm’s way.

And for all agencies dedicated to the pursuit of peace, the alleviation of injustice and the preservation of human, family and individual dignity, from conception to natural death.

Safeguarding

The Church of England is committed to Promoting a Safer Church for everyone. Safeguarding is the action the Church takes to promote a safer culture.

We will seek to promote the welfare of children, young people and adults, work to prevent abuse from occurring, protect those that are at risk of being abused and respond well to those that have been abused. We will take care to identify where a person may present a risk to others, and offer support to them whilst taking steps to mitigate such risks.

If you have any concerns about a child, a young person, an adult who may be vulnerable or someone who works for or volunteers for the Church of England please contact:
