The Church of St Cuthbert's of Lindisfarne, Castle Vale

On pilgrimage to Our Lady of Walsingham in 2017

The Parish of St Cuthbert’s Castle Vale with St George’s Minworth is part of the Diocese of Birmingham in the Church of England.  These pages will help you find out something about both churches and how we serve God and the people of our parish.

St Cuthbert’s offers all you would expect of a church with regular services and services for the stages of life (such as weddings, baptisms and funerals). Details are listed on our Church Services page.

The present Incumbent is The Revd Father James Cope  S.S.C. and the Contacts details in the side bar can help you find others who may help with queries.

Both church halls are available for hire, please contact our Hall Bookings Secretary if you would like to know more about the facilities.

Home to 605 Squadron's Roll of Honour

Castle Vale was built on the site of
RAF Castle Bromwich. That heritage is very much a part of the community today, especially at St Cuthbert’s where we are home to the 605 (County of Warwick) RAF Squadron’s Colour and War Memorial.

For more information about the Squadron, please visit the website: www.605squadron.co.uk

Word of God: On this mountain the Lord of hosts will prepare for all peoples a banquet
of rich food, a banquet of fine wines, of food rich and juicy, of fine strained wines.                                                                                                                 (Isaiah 25:6)

Word for Today: For people living in a desert climate a banquet of fine wines and rich juicy food must have seemed like heaven. As we eat and drink the Lord’s body and blood today at the Eucharist, we pray to be found worthy to share that heavenly banquet promised to all who follow Christ’s ways.
